Funeral Planning 101 (Informational symposium)

St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Cemeteries is hosting Funeral Planning 101, an informal symposium that will provide you with the basic information surrounding funeral planning – with the assistance of various funeral home representatives, monument companies and estate planning professionals. This event will be held Saturday, March 13, at the Generose Enrichment Center, located on the campus of Silver Lake College in Manitowoc, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.The Center is Handicap Accessible; pastries and refreshments along with door prizes will be offered throughout the morning. Manitowoc County Community Day (Education)
Time: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Location: Wisconsin Maritime Museum
The Wisconsin Maritime Museum will host a Manitowoc County Community Day on Saturday, March 13, 2010. Admission is free to all residents of Manitowoc County all day. A variety of special activities for all ages will take place:• 10:00-4:00 The 5th Annual Woodcarvers Day features woodcarvers from throughout the region displaying their projects and demonstrating various carving techniques.• 10:00-4:00 Shells, Puzzles, Paint, and more! Kids can choose to create a maritime-themed art project to take home.• 1:00-2:00 Ole Evinrude and His Outboard Motor program: Madison-based author Bob Jacobson will talk about the important part Ole Evinrude played in Wisconsin’s history while reading excerpts from his children’s book recently published by the Wisconsin Historical Society Press. Visitors can also take a submarine tour, enjoy a variety of hands-on activities, and view the museum’s galleries throughout the day.
